BRANCH3D – Vintage & contemporary ceramics, planters and art.
A space operating on a few levels…
Display and sell objects of interest, particularly vintage and contemporary ceramics;
Offer a range of indoor plants, succulents, vintage planters and other garden items;
Establish relationships with the local community.
We started out as a window gallery down the road in 2012 where we showed local and national artists’ installations to a passing audience. All these installations can be viewed on the Exhibitions page. The most recent space opened in October 2015 and evolved in to a vintage shop specialising in ceramics, planters and art.
Around October 2017 we will be re-opening at 46 Ross Street, and will be expanding our indoor garden items, especially handmade ceramic plant pots. If you are a ceramicist and would like to sell your wares, please email us at [email protected] we are keen to hear from you!
BRANCH3D is operated by Sarah Nolan, a trained graphic designer and once a practising artist… she has a comprehensive knowledge and keen interest in design history.
BRANCH3D originated as a window gallery space for exhibiting artists’ installations in 2011, situated at the front of Sarah’ s home. The space has now settled up the road, and evolved in to a spacious and well-lit shop and gallery space.
There are nine vintage and new cabinets full of a variety of vintage ceramic wares. These cabinets are available to hire by ceramists or anyone who would like to sell their own handmade or vintage items. The walls of the space can also be hired to exhibit artworks, contemporary or second-hand. Openings are organised for exhibitions where we team the exhibiting works with a specific collection of vintage ceramics.
The ceramic collection is always being added to… mid-century pieces are our favourites and we also stock earlier and more recent pieces… we specially love the quirky and kitch… there are some other collections of scarves, match matchboxes and a bargain cabinet of miscellaneous… we have it all!
Along with a neighbouring shop specialising in quality vintage items and a couple of cafes, the new Tramsheds development down the road and Glebe Point Road nearby, Ross Street, Forest Lodge is a great weekend destination
